The trajectory from childhood to adolescence is fast paced and can be filled with wonder and questions.  The transition from adolescence to adulthood can take on an even faster tempo and elevate the questions to a place of confusion and doubt.  In that transition, the quest for independence can add unique challenges.  TCC will help parents or guardians assess whether there is a need for therapy and then provide the needed care.  The spectrum of challenges may include:

  • Addictive behavior – alcohol, drugs
  • Eating disorders
  • Mood swings – depression, anxiety
  • Social cut offs, isolation
  • Peer pressure, bullying
  • Unwise sexual behavior
  • Anger issues – hostility, physical acts
  • Self-harm
  • Spiritual, faith, church struggles
  • Resistance to authority, accountability
